Fake DD games

1.What are some reliable signs that a "hand held" DD game is actually two decks pulled from a multi-deck shuffling machine?
2. Are the DD games at LV MGM casinos bona fide or are some of the fake variety?

The card spread for one

When the decks are introduced to the table/game, the casino must spread them for confirmation that the deck is complete.

I have never played a fake DD game but remember hearing that the shuffle machine has 4 decks and spits out 2 decks at a time, so the cards would be the same color.
In a real DD game that uses a ASM, the two decks being shuffled would be a different color than the two decks being played.

MGM uses a real DD.
