forget about SD at Hacienda

I stopped by the Hacienda on the Sunday morning after Thanksgiving on my way into Vegas and took a look at their SD game. There were four players besides the dealer and he shuffled up after EVERY hand. (Don't know if this is the case if there's only one player, but since the SD game was the only one open at the time, playing by oneself most likely wouldn't occur often.) Personally I tend to stay away from games that have 0% penetration;)

It's like the gold strike in Tunica. 3 rounds to one spot, or one round to 3 spots. Just godawful. Why would the casino even offer this game if they're such weiners about protecting it from counters?

Sorry to be a nit picker, but if it was 0% pene they wouldn't deal a single card. :p

I stand corrected Blue Efficacy! (and a good joke:)) Using the formula of 2.7 cards per hand times 5 (4 players plus dealer) which is 13.5 cards per round means 52 minus 13.5 equals 38.5 card remaining which is approx 26% penetration ergo a running count of plus 8 (wow, good dealing!) would be a true count of over +10 so wager your max amount!.... if only one were allowed to bet:( Hence my errant math re 0% pen, but logic-wise it makes sense cuz you might as well be playing with a CSM. Actually the whole point of the post was to let everyone know this game certainly isn't worth making a stop at. (I thought Tuscany was bad because even if playing one on one at their SD they'd shuffle after 3 rounds no matter what. Btw, Hacienda's 6D game that I've played b4-- when a table is open--- is H17, DOA, DAS, RSA, 75-83% pen)

Wow. I didn't even know that the Hacienda had put the SD game back in. For certain AP techniques, one hand & shuffle is the BEST possible situation!

Still a great game for BS players. Sure beats that 8 deck Hit 17 **** on most low limit games.
Anyone else remember the REAL Hacienda on the Strip with their 2 Deck Stand 17 games and cheap Prime Rib buffet circa 93?
