Foxwoods Conditions Update

Just returned from a day trip on Sunday, and I'm happy to report generally excellent penetration. Somewhat dealer dependent, as always, but the observed average was surprisingly close to 1 deck cutoff! From past experience, the average has been closer to 2 decks than 1, so I'm not sure if it's the change of venue (this time I played mostly in the newer section of the old casino, where they just installed BJ tables earlier in the year) or something else. In any case, I wasn't complaining.

As for the reported recent increase in heat, I didn't notice anything in particular, though I did adopt a few more camo plays than usual since I read the relevant post prior to going down there. Still, I once jumped somewhat abruptly from $10 to $100 without so much as a "checks play", so I am thinking that the new warning probably applies mostly to those with top bets in excess of $200.

Comps were generous - 30 points were added to my card for simply stopping by the Rewards Booth instead of the usual 15 - perhaps this signals a new increase in "charitable giving" during the tough economic times?

If anything in this post crosses the line of good discretion, please feel free to edit it.

Guess They Figured Out

If casinos deal deeper they make more money. They make money when dealing cards and not shuffling them!:joker::whip:

That's right. I see more AP's in a weekend in LV than in a year in CT. They have nothing to fear by dealing down under a deck.
