A couple months ago I redeemed an offer for a $100 free bet chip at a casino in Las Vegas.

Not knowing the exact restrictions on the chip, I placed it on a bet that paid over 1:1 some of the time and I won the bet. The dealer paid me my winnings and left the chip out there. I let the chip ride again and won. He paid me again and left the chip out again.

I did this four times before losing the Free Bet Chip. I have never seen a free bet like that and I'm wondering if these kind are pretty uncommon?

I've never seen one that wasn't supposed to be a one bet only affair, but dealers are known for making mistakes.

I had that happen more than once with a free Ace that pushed. zg

This is how the free bet chips work at MGM properties.

I would have put the free bet chip on the pass line in craps and $100 on the dont pass bar. When the shooter sevens out, you win $100.

Depends on the casino. The only Vegas casinos I have had promo chips for are Ballys, Vegas Club and El Cortez and in all three, chips were taken after a single bet, win or lose. Same thing happened at TropX in Laughlin.Obviously the promo chip is worth more if it is play until you lose rather than a single decision deal.
