Front money players

I was a professional player about 30 yesrs ago. I'm retired now. When I played in Vegas, a few of the Casino's offered deals where they would pay your air fare, give you a free room and food comps provided you deposited $10000 in the casino cage and gave the casino 4 hours of play for 4 days with a minumum bet of $50 per hand.
I'm guessing this golden goose has long since died. Am I right?

front money

A few years back I checked out the gambling junkets that offered free airfare and rooms. If I remember correctly they were to the carib not Vegas and the front money was 30k to 50k. They were advertised in the local paper and I believe they still are if you want I will find if they still are a go.

In Vegas they are no longer organized junkets, but you can arrange these deals with a host. Call any property, ask for a host, and tell him what you want. He will then tell you what your avg bet needs to be and how many hours. To get airfare they will probably want an avg bet of $250. If you have not read Comp City you should pick up a copy before arranging this. The host will tell you that it is all based on your theoretical loss, but this is BS. You will get much better comps if they think you lost.

Downtown, that will certainly give you your food and room. Airfare is a different story.

What do you mean by "professional player"? What did you do and how did you do it? zg
