Greetings,
Thought I share this story for those interested. I came up to a table and waited till the end of the shoe ( my own personal habit) The only guy playing asked me to go ahead and join which I did. After several hands it was clear he did not seem to know much of the game. he watched me double down, split certain pairs etc and having success he then began to ask me for advice on his hands. I was reluctant for it always seems to backfire so I explain I would if he understood that sometimes even the correct play does not always make you win the hand. Well the two of us had some pretty good luck. I recived a double down hand which I did and he then said if you double down I will double down. I had a 11 vs the dealers 7 and he had 12, I said well I would only hit, not double down( even though I done that myself a few times ), well he went on and doubled and got a 9, I got the 10 I needed and it was amusing watching him have so much fun, at the end of the shoe he colored in about 400.00 and a woman ( I assume his wife ) walked up and yelled with excitement at his winnings proceded to pick up all his chips and walked away, leaving him with this priceless expression on his face. I still get a chuckle when I think of that. Anyone else with a funny story at a BJ table?
John
