Can anybody verify George C.'s email? I tried to send him an email @ [email protected] but my email was rejected. The reason: this user is not identified (I too use AOL). Thanks!

I don't know his email, but doesn't he hang at advantageplayer.com? We don't even have a profile for him here.

M...

I have not read George's books M, the comment I made was based on a post by Michael Hall, in which he proved one of GC's RoR formulas was way off. As for COT, from what I've heard, and the posts of his I have read, George knows his stuff pretty well. Of course I haven't seen a pile of cutoffs plopped on top since I started playing, so I haven't spent much time on this particular method.

Re: M...

I would advise the purchase of these booklets for anyone in learning the techniques that have given George C the ability to play at high stakes for so many years.I feel that you have misunderstood the COT concept slightly.
Because the cut-offs are seldom topped, COT is effective anytime one is able to track them to a reasonable degree of accuracy specifically by playing the tops/and bottoms methodology.
IMHO even to know the trend of the next shoe gives the player good advantage.

Re: M...

M, I believe I am familiar the tops/bottoms methodology you mentioned, even though I am not familiar with GC's work. In my experience (where I play) the cutoffs are very much diluted when plugged, so knowledge of them is subsequently of little value. I was under the impression that tops/bottoms could still be effective in this situation, but as i've stated prior, I am only a beginning ST'er, so maybe I am mistaken.

now that i think about it...

...I've seen a few dealers who plugged decent size clumps of the cutoffs, so knowledge of their value would certainly aid in tops/bottoms as well as other methodologies. But like I said I usually see a pretty thorough breakdown of the COs, but then again I'm not out looking for exploitable shuffles...yet.;-)

Re: M...

The COT method used by George C is also applicable anytime a segment is trackable.
The term dilution is relative. Map the shuffle yourslf manually or better still purchase the CVshuffle software from QFIT.
Many times a shuffle that I have visually observed as untrackable becomes trackable with accurate mapping. I personally will only play games with shuffles that have a certain level of "trackability".
The statement of "Once you track, you never go Back!" is so true.
