The crucial factor for you to fathom is this …
No matter where you are from, you have never experienced extreme "heat" until you have played in Las Vegas.
In my experience that's a true statement, although occasionally they export it. I was at a midwestern casino rocking a decent dd game a while back, so the pc came over and casually mentioned that he used to work at El Cortez ("have you ever heard of it?" he says - "nope, I never get out of the Flamingo", says I). He then proceeded to engage me in a detailed conversation about the populations of the various towns making up the DFW Metroplex, where I live.
"How big is Dallas? Its what, 3, 4 million?"
"Fort Worth must be 1 or 2 million, right?"
"I mean, the whole Metroplex has gotta be about 8 or 9 million. How many cities are there?"
I just smiled and answered his questions, but it took some self control not to start laughing.
