Good outing at double deck

Found a beautiful double deck table tonight. I'm kind of new to hand held games but this one had great penetration and a relatively low min bet at $10.00.

Having spent most of the evening at the six deck show games and only pulling a small profit with some really wild swings of negative variance I decided to take my small earnings over to the double deck table. Luckily I was alone with the dealer and it quickly went plus six. So i start playing two spots.

Then it goes plus eight R/C somewhere around half way through. I don't even bother to calculate the T/C and instead just put fifty bucks on two spots.

Friggin TWO NATURALS left and right!

Jeez a kid could make some money this way. I just have to have a bunch of ready made excuses to leave when more players arrive.

At ten bucks minimum I can afford to ride out the lower counts. From now on I'm gonna take a seat at the six deck shoe games where i can keep an eye on the double deck tables. Then rat hole my chips and fly over to the double deck when it clears. ASAP.

Was great fun and made my rent within three shuffles!

Can you DAS? That and 75% penetration are the earmarks of an exceptional game,not your results.

DAS except aces. Double tens & elevens and maybe nines. Can't remember if I even got any nines. Think I tried to double a soft ace/six but was told I couldn't. Table limit was maybe two hundred or so.

Here's the thang: Some really nice people work at this joint. I don't want to wear out my welcome there. At least one six deck dealer things I'm a "loser" after he kept dealing me stiffs against his naturals and twenties.

Fine with me.

I get along well with the whole staff. Before noon is the best time to play one on one but am not certain if they have any DD tables open then. However the shoe games average 75% penetration and sometimes better than that.

According to a dealer they once booted a guy for counting. So I very carefully asked if the dude was making money. Dealer replied "No, he was just doing really wild things like hitting his twelve against six and splitting tens".

So am using Hi/Lo simply because it's easier to maintain my act. They're clueless about me. And besides i'm sticking to just the red & green chips. May be doing them a favor as when the crowd sees me win, like the two naturals on large bet at two adjacent spots everyone else thinks the table is "lucky".

That's when i go to the buffet...

If my Zen ever gets as smooth as my Hi/lo I could probably fleece this joint.

Geeze, only a $10 minimum? That by itself is pretty hot. With good penetration, it's great.

Is the shuffle determined by a cut card, or does the dealer just shuffle it whenever?

I got in, got hot and got out...

Soon as some other casino patrons observed my two naturals at adjacent spots they decided to join my "lucky table". At that point I decided I had "important phone call to make outside". Odd because my cellular provider doesn't work in that neighborhood.

A hee hee hee hee.

Was my first experience with heads up play at DD or hand held games. Definitely an eye opener. And no doubt some decent luck prevailed. Still will keep my eye open in the future for this kind of one on one action.

if the pen was really that good you'd be a fool not to play with 2 other people. just order drinks and spill them on the other open spots, but stay in that game, hoard two-three spots. i wouldn't leave a DD dealt that deep until my pockets were empty, full, or the HEAT was on.

Perhaps, but this is my local haunt. I really don't want to wear out my welcome there. Maybe next time.

When i spread to two spots at large bet it was at a plus eight R/C over half way through the two decks. That's when i got the two naturals.
