This past week has got to be the single worst week in AC history for BJ players. In just one week, Hilton has gone all hit soft 17 and now only allows you to double on 10,11 on the 2 deck game. Tropicana, I can confirm as others have mentioned have now gone H17 on all games. In addition, the penetration is anywhere from 66-70%. Trump Plaza now might be the best game in town as they're still S17 on the 6 deck games but they're all $25 minimums and here's the killer, NMSE. Add to it, the Borgata going 8 decks and NMSE on the few 6 deck games there are left. Finally I guess the Evil Empire doesn't need to change anything because they're still the worst game in town although with the recent changes to the other casinos, not by much! Unfortunately I didn't get to make it to Resorts but I know from past experience, they're quite the sweaty joint and usually only had 2 6 deck games which made it for iall ntents and purposes NMSE.

I point blank told a PB that they're shooting themselves in the foot by doing this, but now I guess they have revealed to us their true intentions for when the casinos in PA and DE open up. They have decided that instead of competing, they're going to try to wring out as much money from their BJ players as they can.

As a result, I have decided to draw the line here. In the 4 years I've been playing as an AP in AC, I have seen conditions overall, deteriorate quite a bit and I will not be a party to it anymore. It was hard enough to do well with a .42% he and being able to wong and have fairly good penetration. Now, instead of it being fun, it's always going to be an absolute grind just to make a few pennies.

As a parting gift to these money hungry johns, I made it my duty to help as many people as I could, crush them. Goodbye AC, I'll cherish the good times I had there but your greed will be the end of you.

Well said...

As of last week that Resorts 6 deck game was still S17 and with pretty good pen (better than Plaza), but they are sweaty.

I dont know why the harsh words Thunder.? Not sure exactly what you are looking for? Now if H17 is a problem then you know how to combat that now.. Remember you need a gun to play H17 :flame::flame:
Take a deep breath Thunder,,,If i was to tell you of a game with no heat, all the best rules your heart desires, free rooms, free food, free drinks, would you travel to that venue?
Hey i feel your pain, trust me i do... I wish i could stay in one place and grind away. But in my world it doesnt work that way.. And i dare say the BJ World is crumbling also.
I'm still looking for my next rainbow... They are out there ya just gotta find em.
At least you still have a game... My games get yanked right off the floor ,, usually with no warning...How would you like to show up one morning at your favorite store ready to play and ...........not a BJ table to be found?
Happens to me all the time..... Adapt buddy.... I'm sure you will!!!
Also remember , nothing stays static......The casino world is always changing..
Screw AC, its a **** hole anyways....And i havent been there in 8 years!!!!
Competition will get the best of these bstrds!!!!!! Money talks,, Casino managers come and go.
P.S. I have a weapon you could borrow

You're right. AC is now a H17 town, and I'd give it until the end of the year until every table outside of the high limit rooms is H17. Very few players know the difference, or will even notice anything is different at the table.

We'll wait for the competition to get rolling, or just hit the H17 games harder.

AM, it's an extra 50% advantage for the casino (from .42% to over .6%). That's why I don't particularly like H17. It's bad enough when you wait until +1 to start betting more but having to wait until +2 now until you have the advantage... eh I think I'll pass. Machinist, there are many great games out there I'm sure. What stops me primarily from going to them is the airfare as it can be hard to overcome $400+ unless you're a high roller or you can take off a week. To be honest, playing BJ for a whole week might bore me to tears lol. One or two days is usually enough for my liking!

Well, not really. It's not an extra 50% advantage against an AP, nor is it a 50% advantage against a ploppy who gives away much more than that, and usually plays something closer to H17 BS than S17 BS anyway.

With a level 2 balanced count, your advantage starts at +3 so we who use such counts get a bit more action in. But action isn't what I'm looking for; if backcounting I'm content to play 5-10 hands per hour.

The blackjack world goes in cycles. Good conditions will eventually return to A.C. The last couple of years have seen an influx of WAY too many teams, beating the pants off of the place; and they're just reacting to it. In year or two, after all the teams stay away for awhile; it will get good again.

When times are tough, casino managers start to lose their jobs. In the same way that baseball managers are let go, the firings are not always warranted. The new ones that come in invariably feel that they have to change SOMETHING. Then when THEY get fired, the new guy oftentimes changes things back.

Mark my words - The sky is NOT falling. Good conditions WILL eventually return to A.C.

One of these days you should do a thorough search of my area :joker: Of course, maybe I have selfish motivations and just want to spend some time learning from the master. Seriously though, very much looking forward to meeting you...and seriously you should visit...

I was recently at a place where they cut just 10-12 cards from an 8 deck shoe! Not just one dealer but all the dealers! The games are out there!:joker:
