Guys, What do you think of this comps.

You play BJ , red chip table, casino uses the CSM. You get 1.4 points per hour of play irrespective of the size of your bet. If you accumulate 30 points you can book a cabin on this casino ship for a 3N/4D cruise. None gamblers would pay $1,600 for 2 pax but gamblers who use the 30 points can use the cabin for up to 4 pax.
According to the BS chart on this website the house advantage is 0.44%. For the geen chip table the points are correspondingly 2.5 times more. There are other bonus points and perks available which I have not mentioned.
Where can you get such comps? That is for another posting.

Sounds too good.I'd do a lot of investigating before jumping on that promo.
Start with the cruise. There are a lot of phony " cruises" that are nothing more than ferrys that drop you off in a fleabag Bahama hotel and it costs a fortune in food while you wait four days for the ferry to come back to get you.

22 hours of blackjack for a cruise? Agreed, it doesn't sound right.

Theoretical loss for a $25 bettor at 100 hands/hr with perfect strategy is $275. Less if you slow play it or have smaller bets. Doesn't add up.

My Friends, we are talking about the Star Cruises Virgo here in Singapore. No fleabug ferry ship. The Virgo is the younger identical sister ship of the NCL Spirit which is presently sailing out of NY. The food on the ship is excellent by local standard.

Yes it doesn't add up. Why do you think I and the Misses have been on the Virgo on 69 cruises in the last 2 years.
Theoretical loss you are right. I always flat bet, play prefect BS and only play on the most crowded table and the speed of play is about 60 rounds per hour..
Yes it is incredible that is why I keep going back.
Next I will tell you that you too can do the same if you want to invest in an air tickect here to Singapore.

Wow!!!! 69 cruises in two years? Where did you find the time to play BJ?
I don't understand you. I play BJ only on the cruise ship Virgo. If not for the Comps I would not play BJ or be in any casino at all.

Oh wait, so this isn't a situation where you gamble on land, and then get free tickets, but rather you "earn" your free ticket while on the cruise? That's pretty sweet. What are the rules of the game?

Mr. T,

Sounds like you found the perfect blackjack game. Good for you. Mr. T. how about explaining all the rules, hours of operation, pen. Why do I think they fail to offer surrender, in addition to hitting S17?

It is the same as the land casino. You have to get points on your players card before you get your comps.
The rules are quite good, like I said, 0.44% house advantage. European BJ rules, S17, DAS,Double on any 2 cards, Surrender and so on.
Once you are in Singapore you have to get a players card. For that you have to get on the ship so you have to pay for your first cruise and get the players card on the ship.
Then start playing and accumulate the points on your card. Present rule is that you need to have 100 points before you can use you points to pay for the cruises. Once you have this you can stay on the ship as long as you want, 1 month 1 year or forever. Just accumulate your points and use it to pay for your continuing cruises as you accumulate the points in the casino.

For those who don't know and might be so inclined- NCL,Norwegian Cruise Lines has a similar deal without going to Singapore. But you must play a minimum of $25 a hand, four hours a day for at least three days, then they will comp your NEXT cruise.

Sound like a good deal to me. Not as good as Star Cruises 7 hours of play compared to the 12 hours on NCL. But since NCL is owned by Star Cruises I think they want to attract gamblers on their ship and not just the traditional cruisers.

Don't know the exact details on games. Casino Player magazine has given them a thumbs up,for what thats worth.
I'm sure anyone serious about finding the rules could do so by searching google,or even calling NCL.
