So I just got back from Harrah's in Chester, PA. Firstly I'd like to say that the area surrounding it is like a really bad area as far as crime goes and it was a little bit unnerving driving through there at 11:30pm and 1:30am. Anyway, once I got inside it looked great! Unlike most casinos I've been to it had a really high warehouse-like ceiling which gave it a really "open feeling" and it was very clean. Since table gaming is illegal in Pennsylvania they had a ton of slot machines, VP, and some digital blackjack machines...I desperately wanted to sit down at one of them but they only had 6 machines which had 5 seats on each..there were 3 $5 tables, 2 $10 tables, and 1 $25 table. The rules were DOA, DAS, H17, and it was CSM (obviously), also there was the "royal match 21" side bet. I stood there for a good 45 minutes trying to find an open seat and I couldn't. I'm assuming it is not this crowded during the weekdays. Anyway, I played a little bit of VP and ended up down $40. I'd probably go back for fun but it is no AC substitute (unless of course they get real table games somehow)

first off, thats no excuse, find another casino if you plan on gambling more than once a month, and secondly, you cant count cards, and even if it was some odd non-csm electronic game, that would actually make it better, not worse.. its not like h17 is somehow worse when your counting.. i have one of those machines by me, and its cool, with the video of a real dealer (usually a hot girl) and such, but the house edge on any electronic bj game will be at least -.6%.. the one by me is probably the best you will find; its h17 with rsa or hsa, i forget which, but its a $1 game, so its actually better if you are super poor.. in relation to the regular table bj at the same casino, its 33% worse (-.45% compared to -.6%), but the "table" limit is 90% lower, so if you did some loss per hour math, you would figure out that the electronic game is much better.. if some of you disagree, then you just dont see it in your means.. if there was a 2 deck game with 75% penetration, rules that made it -.1%, and it was dealt face up, would you play it if it had a $1000 minimum? if you answer yes, then i dont know what the hell you are doing in a casino; you should be out having fun with all your cars, houses, boats, etc..beat320 said:because it had better odds than any of those slot machines there. also I wasnt counting so the only real disadvantage was H17
