I posted about this a couple months ago but I have a new question.

I learned that just because you are a Diamond member doesn't mean you can go into every lounge, and each lounge determines a specific "Tier Point" level in which you need to enter. Caesars Windsor for example is 50,000 pts.

BUT, since everyone's Tier Score is erased after the new year but NOT their membership level, how does the club handle that?

I can't answer your question, but it reminded me of something I saw during my last trip to the Flaming Oh. The Diamond Lounge appeared to be rented out to a group party, on a Saturday night, no less. Folks were lined up outside the door in *ahem* adult "prom wear", all geeked up to be in Vegas, noses wide open. The folks waiting in this line reeked of the same level of exclusivity as the line for Space Mountain at Disneyland, sans children. It was somewhat comical, somewhat depressing.

So I wonder, can these lounges be rented out for a certain dollar amount during this economic downturn? Or was this private party afforded by the action of one big whale?

I have Diamond Status and I've been able to go to the Diamond Lounge in LV and AC (Harrahs and C-AC)...free open bar...can't beat that.

It is a closely guarded secret but within the various tiers there are sub tiers.
I believe that there are 4 sub-tiers within the DIAMOND level.

e.g. Only the highest level Diamond Players can be comped their Wi-Fi Access, and some Diamond Players can have robes sent to their suites.

Sidenote - Where are the Diamond lounges in LV? I know there is one at Planet Hollywood but that's the only one I've been to

There are actually 7 tiers within Diamond and 3 within 7*. This info provided by a Diamond Lounge Manager in AC with whom I was chatting (and I seem to recall, you, Flash, were there at the time, though I may be mistaken).

I agree- went to a Diamond lounge in LV recently and walked right out. A tray of stale lettuce and another tray of broken cookies. Service in LV can make AC seem good by comparison, sometimes. I guess they are figuring that all the upscale people now go to Bellagio and Wynn and such places, and that even the Diamond members who show up at HET stores are dregs and skells.
