Has the dealer ever run out of cards in a round? It happened to me once. Only half a deck was cut off and the count was sky high. I had a max bet on 2 spots and got a pair of aces on one and a 20 on the other. Split the aces and got 2 21s. The dealer showed an 8. 3rd base hits and gets the second to last card. I know for a fact the last card is a ten or ace. I tell him not to hit and he hits anyway. Lo and behold, it was a ten and he busted. The dealer had a stiff and would have busted with the last ten. Instead the pit boss rules the hand dead and I have the look on my face that I want to punch the ploppy in the face. The dealer cuts out 1.5 decks next shoe. Ploppy colored up and left

That's awful "convenient" for the pit to call that a dead hand! I don't know who I would have punched first, the ploppy or the pc. Why didn't you buy the ploppy's hand?

Indian casino?

Back 20 or more years ago, it was rather common for the dealer to run out of cards; especially in Reno. The way the rule is SUPPOSED to be: The dealer leaves all the player's cards on the table, including his own; and shuffles up all of the cards that are in the discard tray. He then burns a card, & play continues right from that point.

Basically; that PB made the wrong decision; whether he did it on purpose or not, I can't say - but bottom line: you got CHEATED. I would have asked for a ruling from HIS boss. But then again, if it WAS an Indian casino, there's probably nothing that would have come of it anyway.

This has happened to me several times in single deck games. The tricky part is right when the dealer starts to shuffle the discards, you have to reset the count in your head, and immediately recount all the cards on the table, to get an accurate count for your playing decisions.
