Have you ever made an offer to help a big player?

A few weeks ago, I noticed a "reserved" sign one one of the empty tables. A bit later a single player (youngish guy) is there, flat betting $10K per hand.

It got me wondering if pro (or semi-pro) counters ever approach a guy like this to either bankroll their play, or even just to play the same table and take some hints when the count is good.

By reserving a table, my guess is that he wishes to play alone and at his bet level the casino will accommidate him. So he does not want your company.
So if you want to give him pointers or to back you, you have to come up with a way for him to notice you, want your advice, believe you will make him money etc etc. Otherwise he will think you are hustling him and if the casino feels you are hustling him, they will toss you.

I have never approached anyone like this but have been approached by a few people but only after playing with them in high limit pits.
