I am an experienced basic startegy blackjack player, I have been reading this group for the past month and am trying to figure out a strategy. I usually bankroll about 2K and play $50 a hand, usually 2 hands. I play in AC and usually hit and run, meaning if I play the first shoe and I am up $500 or better I hit the road. My goal is usually 500 plus. Can anyone tell me what an easy to start strategy would be? I don't think card counting would be my gig, I count to slow!! I am also having trouble reading some posts as I don't really know the lingo, so please be patient. Thanks in advance !!!!!!!!

You mention that you play basic strategy, but you don't think card couting is for you. Very few players play perfect basic strategy, and finding someone who plays correct BS that does not know how to count is exceptionally rare. I really think card counting is the best next step for you to improve your game further.

I can think of only a couple ways to come out ahead if you're just playing basic strategy:
1) Comp Hustling - Play high stakes games with a very low house edge such that the comps you receive are of more value than your expected losses playing BJ.
2) Play Coupons - Find the casinos with the best Match Play coupons, Fun Books, promotions, etc. and do the rounds. If the 2K bank you mention is your total stake (not just a trip bank), playing coupons is one way to build your BR.

Thanks for the reply, I know there may be no such thing, but can you point me to a card counting system that you think would be the "easiest" to understand, thanks again

sounds like you have a huge bankroll.. i seriously suggest you get into counting, as you could make probably $50/hr (educated guess).. i am jealous of people with large bankrolls, as i would be way more motivated to get over to the casino more than 20 hours per month if my win rate was over $5/hr

Everyone is slow once they start counting. It was taking me over a minute when I first began, now I can count a deck in about 25 seconds. Just keep practicing and you'll see that it is not as hard as it seems.
