Help -- Few Questions

Alright, so me and my buddies plan on hitting the casinos in a month or two.

We have all read up on card counting (+1 for 2-6, 0 for 7-9 and -1 for 10-A) and we can all get through a single deck ending up with a zero count in under 30 seconds. Also, all of us know the basic strategy table perfectly.

At our local casinos, they use 6 decks and throughout the 6 decks they have 2 pure black cards, when they hit one, they shuffle.

So what else can we do to prepare ourselves? What else is there to know? Does anyone have any good links to read or anything? We just don't want to go and get absolutely destroyed, when there is more that could have been learned.

The game is no good - the two black cards cause an effective 50% pene. zg

There are other casinos without that.

Erase that from the first message and throw me a reply

What? I haven't heard of this. To confirm, you don't mean there there's a plastic "cut card" (or two) that are always placed near the end of the shoe, that trigger a shuffle? Because that's normal. But if the cut cards are randomly distributed, that could be pretty crappy. If there were TWO of the cards, it might make penetration even worse than 50%.

As for preparation:
- How good are you guys at true count conversion?
- What books have you read?
- Have you decided on what you will bet at each count?
- Have you decided on your play strategy (every man for himself vs. a spotter game)?

maybe hes reffering to the two black cards as the one card for the cut and the one that is used sometimes to cover the bottom card of the shoe.

There is another casino in my area that does 6 deckblackjack and gets 5 decks into it before they shuffle.

So if me and a few friends have the counting down pat, what should we do?
All sit down and then when the count is high start betting more? err..

Two Black cards!

I assume that the two black cards are not shuffled randomly into one is on the last card of the shoe and the other is placed for the cut off typically between 1-2 decks. I'm I right? Most of the casinos that I know that have six deck shoes have cut cards marking where they need to shuffle other wise they could run out of cards. You could get a 5 deck cut off on 6 deck shoe very easily giving you 83% penetration meaning you would not play the last deck of cards.
