help with a low spread game

Hey all,

Not many casinos around here so I am very limited. Sadly, the spread on the games at the nearest casino is very low. My laptop that has CV on it just took a dump on my so I was hoping someone could help me devise a betting scheme for this place. Here are the details.

1) max bet is always $100
2) minimum bet changes from $5, $10, $15, and $25 depending on time of day etc, day of week etc.
3) I use a simply hi-lo count, game is 8 decks without about 75-80% penetration. Dealer stands on soft 17. I am a back counter.

This is the strategy I was using with a $15 minumum:

I wonged in at a true of +3 with a bet of $25, would drop my bet to table minimum below +2 and wonged out at +1. Every true count elevation from +3 I would raise the bet $15: +4 I bet $40, +5 I bet $55, +6 I bet $70, +7 I bet 85, +8 I bet $100...table max. I also would sometimes play two hands at my whim. For example a few times I threw in $30x2 at a TC of +5

Is this a decent strategy? I am not sure I really just made it up as I went.

fyi: I went up $400 that night with a $40 average bet. My math says my expected value was $100 and my deviation was $282. So I seem to be right around 1 deviation.

thanks!

the only thing that worries me is that I keep winning. I know it doesn't seem like much to worry about but I would say I am far above where I should be. Over the last year I have probably taken this casino for ~$2500-3000. I have won on about 7-8 trips and only lost 1. Figuring that I have invested in 500 hands I figured my expected value to be around $700 and my deviation to be around $1000. I guess I shouldn't complain about my good luck but I figure it means that in the near future I will do a nose dive. That or the average advantage I calculated is off.

I am going to start working on a $25 bet scheme. I am just confused at where I should start. I will stick with my +3 threshold but what should my first bet be? Should I make it say $40, then lower the bet to $30 at +2 and $25 at +1?

would this make more sense... don't play until +4 then bet table max until it drops to +2?

thanks again!!!

your close

Wong in anywhere from a positive RC through +2 TC.
Wong out anywhere from between -2 to 0 TC.
Vary the above to throw them off.
Even sometimes play off the top.

Your TC 1 bet should not be very big.

Nope. Everything else being equal, your chances of winning in the future are exactly the same as before you started.

Thanks guys i appreciate the support. I am trying to take this place for as much as i can to build a bank roll for a higher stakes game hopefully one with a side game i can abuse. I'm also working on the shuffle tracking.

The reason i have been coming I'n at tc3 is because why not? Why not start with the biggest advantage i can? I also like it as a startin point because i am already into insurance territory! Plus that way i don't have to play any negative counts or even marginal counts. I bail out with covers like washroom
Or phone but i don't think they pay much attention anyways. I try to leave after i make 4-500 so to not draw any attention.
