I'm a professional gambler that travels to different casinos to play blackjack. A question that I have; do you know of any pc games that can do the following? What I'm looking for is a game (online or otherwise) that actually depletes through the decks (just like real dealers at casino's do) so I could try some of my new idea's before I hit up any new casinos. I don't want a casino game that shuffles after each turn (all I come across do that).

What I’m looking for is a game where I could refine my card counting capabilities.

Thanks,
John

Me again...

Just the high-low strategy. This seems to be working well for me so far.

Can you help me with my question?

I have some new Idea’s that I would like to try. They work well on paper. I’m also a mathematician and I wouldn’t mind sharing some of what I know if you can help me find a game.

Thanks,

John

Casino Verite is a software package that's very popular around here, geared towards card counting practice. Very customizable with regards to game and rule variants, counting systems, and strategy changes. And yes, it really deals out a "fair" shoe between shuffles.

On the more analytical simulation side of things, the same author (http://www.qfit.com) has two different simulation programs. Haven't touched them myself, as I prefer trial and error. Also on the simulation side, over at blackjackforumonline you can find a link to Powersim, which is a freeware simulation program. Pretty rough around the edges, but, you know, free.

I also think it might be a good idea to share your ideas. The general pattern seems to be that if someone shares an interesting and unique new idea, several people have already tried it, and perhaps even written books about it.

This is the basic strategy trainer from this site that goes through the whole deck. Don't use the Java one.

Also why don't you just use an actual deck and go through it at home just like a real casino would?

Also Golden Palace online casinos all have live 8 deck games. You could just watch and not play.

The free BS trainer on this site is good. If you want to buy a program then Casino Verite (http://www.Qfit.com) is the best. You could also try Blackjack Trainer by ConJelCo (http://www.conjelco.com/bjt.html, Blackjack 6-7-8 by Stickysoft ((Dead link: http://www.blackjack678.com/)) or SAGE Blackjack from Sage Software ((Dead link: http://www.s-a-g-e.com/blackjack_info/bjinfo.html)). There is also a good variety of software (as well as message boards) available from AdvantagePlayer (http://www.advantageplayer.com/blackjack/index.html)

I must admit I'm a little surprised to hear about a pro player who doesn't know of any simulation software. You don't intend to manually play through millions of hands in order to test you system, do you? I have a bad feeling about this...
