Hi Opt I 11 v A DD

Looking at basic strategy from WoO and CVBJ for DD shows that BS for 11 v A is to double, but CVBJ said to double at +1 TC. Which one takes precedent? I know that the indexes are supposed to, but I noticed that BS usually follows indexes assuming a TC of 0. What to do?

Are you playing a H17 or S17 game?

If you double 11 vs. A in any positive count, you'll do just fine.

misconception to clear up - BS does not necessarily follow what an index says to do at TC of 0. one big example: BS says hit 16v10, but at a TC of 0 or above we stand.

I only play DD and still use the Hi-opt I (with my own slight adjustments). I always double an 11 vs. dealer A, unless the count is -2 or less on the top of a deck or -1 or less at the end of the deck.
