Hibiclens for hand hygiene

Being a lot of us take hand-washing very seriously when in a casino, I'd like to mention a hand wash called Hibiclens. It was intended for surgery but it's available in the first aid section of the drugstore now. Really strong stuff. I read of an experiment where you wash your hands with it, and 6 hours later your hands will kill germs in a Petri dish, it's so powerful.

That would be great, we can wash our hands with it before a session and disinfect the casino's cheques as we play. I'm using it from now on.

Stong stuff, for it to last up to a minimum of 6 hrs. Im a new found wine-maker so I understand the value of good sanitation products. You have to sanitize, to sterilize. I like to use Isopropyl.

Great info, will purchase.

I am always dismayed how many males leave the Bathroom in the casino without washing their hands

All it takes is one look at the chips I'm playing with to convince me of the importance of washing my hands :) I think the Borgata in AC is the only casino that even bothers to ever clean their chips.

ive had to clean casino chips when i worked for one in calif. it was done once a year and within 2 weeks of them being cleaned they were back to being nasty. IT actually made me not want to deal anymore when i did it. THey sell special chip cleaning solution that was about $40 a gallon according to the stickers and you soak the chips in it and just dry them off, makes them feel better when dealing with them, but the color of the solution was just discusting.

I'm not sure if you were just joking, but you're not going to disinfect the chips; you'll simply protect your skin from contamination. The study you mentioned was based on results after using Hebiclens for a number of days then making an impression on a petri dish and seeing what grew out. The stuff bonds to the skin, so you have to be very careful about not getting it in your eyes. But at some point it will break down and become ineffective, so it's better to follow a consistent practice of not touching your eyes, lips, or nose with your fingers and washing your hands well after every session. Wipe your nose with the back of your hand if you have an itch.
