High Limit Rooms

The most profitable game, and only 6 deck game, available to me is offerend in a high limit room. 80%, das, s17. The minimum bet is $50, so I would have to backcount it.

Does anyone have any experience backcounting (or play all) in high limit rooms? How much heat should I expect? Will I get booted right off the bat? How short should my sessions be? Is it worth my while?

My max bet will be from $200 to $300.

tough to do in most high limit rooms

If the table is on the main floor, just a high limit table perhaps next to lower limit tables, it could be done easily but after doing it a couple of times someone will notice.
If it is in a separate high limit area the only strategy you can generally get away with for a little while is: start the shoe and if the count goes negative stay out, take a break or if you just lost a couple in a row make some kind of ridiculous statement like, "when I lose 3 in a row I sit out the rest of the shoe". Change your personal rule if the count goes positive and play again.

Problem is: it is easy to wong out in high limit areas but difficult to wong in because if you were not playing before, they generally do not let you in to just watch.

Why worry about a 6D vs. 8D game if you want to backcount? You're much better off backcounting at an 8D game where you can come and go as you please than sweating a high minimum, high heat and no-mid-shoe rules in a 6D game.

Yes you are right, I was thinking about it last night. I wouldnt want to jeopardize my welcome at this casino.
