High/Low Or Hi OptI

Not recommended

No. HO1 requires an ace sidecount to be effective. It is indeed effective, but no better than High-Low for shoe blackjack.

I read that Hi Opi1 is the best for AP. So i assumed it would be the hardest to learn but then i realized its fairly similiar to High/low. are my assumptions correct? because if so then i will just start off with hi opi1 as it doesnt look too hard or different from high/low. thanks

The place you read that is the best for AP was not taking about the basic HO1 system with just an ace side count. It would require you to have mulitple side counts making it one the hardest systems ever invented. I have never heard of anyone using it with all the side counts. I would recommend Hi-lo if you are playing 6d it isn't fun trying to side count 24 aces.
