Is it on tournament play or just card-counting crap?shadroch said:Anyone in a rush to read his new book? The reviews aren't bad,and Lord knows there isn't enough literature on card counting out there.
"The book covers basic strategy, teaches the Hi-Lo count, and discusses index numbers, proper betting techniques, and the all-important camofluage plays. Beyond the instructional material are many stories of Dave's time on various gaming shows both as player and host. Be ready for some crazy action on the tables as well as behind the scenes!"Kasi said:Is it on tournament play or just card-counting crap?

In that I mean he has had moderate success at what he was originally trying to do and that is promote himself. It has little to do with blackjack or tournaments but much to do with getting the next acting gig. He picked a little different path, but it has helped him avoid waiting too many tables.Mr Hand said:Has this guy ever done anything?

Very well said. I think Victor Nacht said it perfectly when he called Dave "This generation's Kenny Uston."ihate17 said:In that I mean he has had moderate success at what he was originally trying to do and that is promote himself.
You don't see the similarities? Uston was a shameless self-promoter. He was a very smart guy but not a great blackjack player. He was all about getting his name and picture in the public eye. He was always writing another book (about half of which were about blackjack), appearing on TV, endorsing a new personal computer system, or anything else he could get his face on.Mr Hand said:Puleeezzzz!
Don't take my word for it. Ask the guy who trained him:Mr Hand said:Your shameless promotion comparison maybe similar, but to say that Uston was not a great Blackjack player is simply false.
