My question regards a situation I've run into at a casino that I have been frequenting as of late.
A dealer will ask "How's the play been for you?" while staring at my chips ... invariably this happens during the shuffle, but to be more specific, it happens when the dealer is fumbling with the cut-card.
I'm relatively unknown at this casino, but thus far its one of the better places I've found to play in Colorado (a double-deck game with pretty much everything allowed except for surrender).
I had $200 in red on the table, and the dealer asked the above question while shuffling the cards and looking at my chips. I tend to always say I'm down no matter what, as I did in this case, and I noticed that as I indicated how bad I was doing the dealer was more willing to place the cut card deeper, thus giving greater penetration (the single place i've found where the dealers actually dealt down to almost half a deck).
My question is this: it seems obvious to me that as much as the dealers appear to act as though they are just the middle-men in this environment, in fact, it wasn't until I told the dealer that I had been losing that made him place the cut card into the deck a little deeper. Should I sit back and count out the exact number of cards they deal for a few rounds? Should I find somewhere else to play?
I appreciate your time and advice, thank you.
