I realize that I already did this topic but I forgot that I could give ten options so now I'm expanding the poll. I was just wondering how many times you have gotten the boot from playing blackjack?
whoa, has this all happened to you? do tell, sounds like you're living the life :grin:Automatic Monkey said:Yeah what is this obsession with backoffs? They happen. Get over it.
There are worse things that can happen and they are at least interesting. Like, have you ever been:
Arrested for AP
Thrown out physically
Dragged into the back room and tortured
Assaulted by other patrons
Chips confiscated
Forced to run out of a casino
Fondled under the table by a blackjack groupie
Wouldn't that be a blackjack "gropie"?Automatic Monkey said:Yeah what is this obsession with backoffs? They happen. Get over it.

Indeed, he does live "La vida imprudente". It all started after Tarzan died.bluewhale said:whoa, has this all happened to you? do tell, sounds like you're living the life
My question was not how many times that you have been backed off my question was how many different places have you been backed off from. Lets say your count is 3 backoffs from boomtown, 1 from the biltmore, 1 from the Siena, and 1 from the Bonaza casino your total would not be 6 backoffs the total would be 4 backoffs because 4 differen't places backed you off.suicyco maniac said:Voted 9. But the # is much higher then that. Honestly I don't even know why I bothered to vote. In my mind less then 10 backoffs is pretty much the same as 1 backoff. I know people who have 10 backoffs at one casino.
Just asking anybody - does anybody ever get read that Trespass Act or whatever it is where they'd have the right to arrest you next time?Automatic Monkey said:Yeah what is this obsession with backoffs?

Still way more then 9. Probably somewhere around 100. Honestly does it even matter?Cardcounter said:My question was not how many times that you have been backed off my question was how many different places have you been backed off from. I was beaten and robbed in a casino parking lot in another country by a few people who worked for the casino.Automatic Monkey said:Yeah what is this obsession with backoffs? They happen. Get over it.

It was in the back parking lot at Walker Hill Resort in Korea back in the late 1970's.runningaces said:Thats horrible, wold you care to say which country to possibly save me from limping later in life?
Yes, I actually received a registered letter warning me I will be charged with trespassing if I ever step foot on the property again. I haven't been back to that casino but I plan on it eventually. As for the letter I am planning on framing it and placing it on the mantel.Kasi said:Just asking anybody - does anybody ever get read that Trespass Act or whatever it is where they'd have the right to arrest you next time?
Or is that just rarely used maybe? More myth than anything?
Up to recently all Macao casinos were controled by the same mob person but now I think Wynn and not sure but might be Trump, both have huge casinos there. I also understand that they use CSM's on all or almost all tables. You might throw your question in the Asia section on this board if you have not already. Or go to bj21.com and ask someone named blackjack traveler, an Asian expert who has written books on advantage play in Chinese.Ferretnparrot said:i was thinking about hitting up macao for fun, then i read that in the past decade it was under mob control and had second thoughts about it for that reason, you can always get more money but you cant go buy a new set of kneecaps you know?
That's interesting. Had they already verbally told you that?SystemsTrader said:Yes, I actually received a registered letter warning me I will be charged with trespassing if I ever step foot on the property again. It was an Indian joint. There was no warning they approached me when I just left the casino, warned me to never come back, wanted to back room me but I just left then 2 days later I received the letter by courier. I used a players card there. I looked up the trespassing fines and for a first offense it ranges from $90-$1000 for this jurisdiction, I guess it would be up to the judge. The Indians actually don't run the place they outsource the gaming so it is run basically by a gaming corp. and the Indians just collect a big fat check. I had actually lost a lot of money at this place too.Kasi said:That's interesting. Had they already verbally told you that?
You must have been a VERY BAD BOY lol.
Would it apply across all properties owned by whoever owned that particular casino?
Anyway, not sure if it's worth being arrested by going back, your decision of course, if you want to expound why it may be worth the risk great, not expecting it of course lol, but, if you do, be GD careful lol.
Wonder what the penalties usually are.
Apparently, most people only get "backed off" which seems to have no legal, and little practical, effect lol.
Like me and bars. Just kidding lol.
