I haven't, but what is the standard game like in the UK? Is there a lot of deck variety available, do a lot of the casinos have CSM's? Also what is the heat like in the UK?

The whole UK have to use the same rules by law and those rules aren't great:
6D DOA2, DAS, RS4, RSA, S17, No Surrender, No Insurance except on Blackjack, No Hole Card, Dealer takes all with BJ
On the upside i've seen some fantastic penetration and there are other readily avalible opportunities if you know where to look. Also certainly at low stakes they'll let you away with some fairly phenomenal bet spreads without any heat. So overall i'd say conditions aren't bad.
One issue however is the requirement to become a member to play in any casino. This involves producing government autherised ID and is not something i'm happy with. But needs must.
I've not encountered anyone i thought was playing a good game over here and just wondered how many of us there were about.

There's a difference between a good game and playing a good game. You can be sitting at a good game without ever playing a good game.

I was in London last summer. I had not planned on going to the casinos, but I found myself with a free evening so I thought I would check it out. The first place very politely told me I could not enter because I was wearing "sporting" shoes (sneakers). She told me there was another casino (I think it was in Piccadilly Circus) that would let me in. I went, but they only had a few tables and they were all continuous shuffling machines. Needless to say I did not play any blackjack that trip!

Me!!

I often play - I have only been counting a relatively short amount of time using KO. So you may or may not consider me to be playing a "good" game as it is right now. :)

I am enjoying the game very much and as you say I don't think the rules are too bad here as there really is very little attention given when raising bets. The casinos i've come across seem to believe that counting is impossible and they have a degree of arrogance - let's keep it that way

I have definitely come across a few other regulars who are using some form of counting.

I don't suppose the Playboy Club in 1971 counts?

Found myself betting my plane ticket back home lol. Knew less than nothing about BJ needless to say.

That cured me for at least 10 years.

Played alot of squash though :)
