At an average of $50/hand, 50 hands/hour, that is $2,500/hour wagered, and it would take only 44 hours to hit Diamond. I know zip about CET, but does that sound right?Thunder said:CET being the old Harra h's properties You need to wager $110,000 on VP, and probably a similar amount on BJ in one year.
From there you can get the premium cards at other locations.
It helps to go when they have tier credit multiplier days.
I hit the VP hard in Jan. and Feb. and got to Diamond in 2 months. I am still trying to figure out their comp system though. As soon as I got Diamond, the comped room offers online were fantastic. I could get comped rooms almost anywhere. However, as I didn't do much with them in March, the online room offers dried up. Couldn't get a room comped in Tunica for last week, even through a host. I had to get rooms from Sam's Town and Gold Strike. I must be doing domething wrong. I guess the thing to do is to decide when you want to make a trip, then hit the VP hard just before that.Thunder said:CET being the old Harra h's properties You need to wager $110,000 on VP, and probably a similar amount on BJ in one year.

Can't tell you about BJ, but on 9/6 JOB, depending on how fast you play, etc., I think most people could get about 250 points per hour playing a $1 machine, max credits ($5 per hand). So to make the 11,000 points for Diamond, would take about 44 hours. 9/6 JOB is about .5% house edge, so the vig should be about $500. However, be warned that the variance in this game can be brutal.zoomie said:At an average of $50/hand, 50 hands/hour, that is $2,500/hour wagered, and it would take only 44 hours to hit Diamond. I am beginning to agree. Getting Diamond in February means I will have Diamond privileges thru 2012. At least the Diamond Lounge at my local place has a nice free dinner. Nothing fancy, about the equivalent of a $10 plate lunch; but if my wife and I can eat there often enough, maybe I can get most of my VP money back.21forme said:As a Diamond card holder for a number of years, I can tell you it's not worth it, at least in the last year or two. All you get for it is to jump the line at their restaurants and a nice, cozy check-in area, separate from the masses. the Diamond Lounges have deteriorated. Their BJ games suck, so why bother?
Ahh but have you forgotten that it allows you to get premium player's cards from other stores?21forme said:As a Diamond card holder for a number of years, I can tell you it's not worth it, at least in the last year or two. I know that not all places will give a premium card to Diamond Card holders, because I tried. I would be very interested to know which stores have that policy.Thunder said:Ahh but have you forgotten that it allows you to get premium player's cards from other stores?
You get free rooms. A few long weekends in their resort destinations and it's worth it. VP+ cashback multipliers is the way to go, gets you there right away and with small +EV.21forme said:As a Diamond card holder for a number of years, I can tell you it's not worth it, at least in the last year or two. Ture, but my player elsewhere generates the premium card of interest, anyway.Thunder said:Ahh but have you forgotten that it allows you to get premium player's cards from other stores?
Rooms are not directly tied to Diamond cards. As I knew my CET play would be insufficient to generate a Diamond card this year, I stiffed them my last 3 trips. The room offers went away.Automatic Monkey said:You get free rooms. A few long weekends in their resort destinations and it's worth it. My pattern is: earn Diamond in AC playing "un-BJ," use free rooms at other Harrah's properties, using my card give them a little gentle play where I'm staying so I get invited back, and play anon everywhere else in case I get backed off.
Good to know. Can you get weekend rooms with gold and platinum too? I'm good on any week/end except New Year's Eve and Mardi Gras in New Orleans.21forme said:...Rooms are not directly tied to Diamond cards. The games are good, sure enough. But they cleaned my clock last time I visited them there.:whip: I hate a crybaby!alwayssplitaces said:Play at the only Harrah's property with great BJ rules, Harrah's Chester in PA. I get other people to play the slots on my card in Vegas, trying for 300 points a day from other people's play.
In AC, the Borg will upgrade you and Trump casinos run the promo once or twice a year to upgrade to their Chairman's card. In PA, I got a Parx upgrade.tedsuxs said:I have diamond card.. so at any casino i go to..i should try and show them the card... to see if they will upgrade my new card im getting? Or is there a list of certain casinos that do it?
It doesn't matter if you win or lose. it's knowing you had the advantage :grin:aslan said:The games are good, sure enough. But they cleaned my clock last time I visited them there.:whip: I hate a crybaby!

You get 200 base RC's for $100 avg bet for one hour. You can get Diamond either the old fashioned way with 11,000 points OR 4,000 points in a single day. You could do it at blackjack flat betting 2x$500 for two hours OR 2x$200 for 5 hours.zoomie said:At an average of $50/hand, 50 hands/hour, that is $2,500/hour wagered, and it would take only 44 hours to hit Diamond.
