CSMs are a little "less worse" for the basic strategy player than a hand dealt game if the rules are the same. They are still a losing proposition. Due to the continuous shuffling and "always" playing with full decks, variance does drop slightly, or so I have been told... of course the faster you play playing straight BS, the more you will lose regardless because of the house edge.
I guess if you wanted to maximize your table time, play a "gambling" game, and not spend a lot of money then a CSM at a full table would be just fine.
