Insure the table?

I read on another (voodoo) website about insuring the whole table!

Is this possible? Can you insure another player's bet? Don't you need their permission?

Even if you could talk other players into doing this, you would either be branded a genius or a total idiot; and also draw incredible heat!

But hell, just imagine a level 1 TC7, with a full table, and winning all their bets! I'd grab the payouts and run for door!

Would a dealer even allow this without calling the pit?

It's definitely a profitable play when the count calls for it. However, not all casinos would allow this, and it would be illegal in some locales. There are also the issues of heat you cited.
