Introduction

Hello Blackjack Info community. Apologies for the x-post and I promise I won't do so frequently, but an introduction is appropriate for any message board.

I am a new to the world of advantage play and wanted to say hello before participating on the message board. I have been lurking for a while absorbing what I can. This is a tremendous resource. I feel that even if I play as an individual, meeting and discussing with other AP's can be mutually beneficial.

I have always enjoyed playing in a casino and love vacationing in Vegas. Can't explain why but I like the sights and sounds and the games themselves. As an AP I can now enjoy without the problem of eventually losing all that I bring to the tables.

My goals in AP are as follows:
* Keep it fun
* Suppliment existing income, but not at the expense of the first point
* Play to win and to last. In other words no ploppy plays and no burning out any stores.

I have trained myself at home every day for several hours a day and I have been playing for real for about 50 cumulative hours. I am playing the lowest possible stakes games available that still have an advantage and working my way up, keeping my eyes open, and always learning. I'm quite serious about improving my play anyway I can and my utmost respect to those who have been in the trenches before me.

Dig your commercials, you can come to the BASH if you like but you must bring all of your girl friends, I will supple, or supply I mean, the room, but I will also have a key:grin::laugh::cool:

Nice goals you have, keep them that way and you will have a nice time.

Welcome to our world.:)

Welcome, and yes nice goals. Just one thing, if you play part time, and in Vegas, it might not be the worse idea to try to burn out some stores. Only if you play very frequently, especially at a local isolated store would this be a significant concern.

Also, you can get backed off, and have an awkward moment, just to see what it feels like.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome!

CP -- the bash sounds interesting. One thing I hope to be able to do is meet others and contribute to the sharing of ideas and techniques -- and to be able to talk to others who understand. Without participating in a greater community of APs one is limited in how much one can accomplish and contribute to the advancement of AP. Imagine if I was asked to send someone to the moon without working with anyone else. I would have to hand craft some tools to build the factories that make the special machines used to make the door handle on a space ship. Anyway, when 10 posts happen I will send the PM. Hopefully it will be a good 10 posts.

I don't know why but I find the whole most interesting man thing incredibly funny. He can be my BP but surely wouldn't need a spotter. :eyepatch:

If your goal is to keep it fun, I would learn to hustle comps. Taking a free trip to Vegas is absolutely fantastic.

Haha I sorta did that with El Cortez. Went there early on to see what heat would feel like. I found it fast. :flame: Lost track of time and played a little longer than I originally wanted but I got out of there almost doubling my buy in and without any action taken against me.

I was making my way to another property clear on the other side of town when I saw that someone wearing an El Cortez jacket was following me aound. Coincidence or not I did my best to lose the guy in a crowded area.

Maybe the suit wanted to question you, just because your so interesting.

Strange synchronicity, was at the casino yesterday, and your commercials were continuously being run, after not having seen it in a long ass time. Ha ha, guess its just like the strange phenomenom when you learn a new word, you repeatedly come across it ;)
