Is it bad for BIG Winners to ask for Comps?

Hi, I recently had a Very Good Day Playing , Won over $5000 , Im a BS Player, I asked the host if i can get any Vegas Comps such as Airfare/RFB my Average bet was about $400/Hand was playing for about 3 hours. Im Wondering is this good to do after you win so much? I mean will the Casino people think im greedy and be less willing to give me a comp because of the Money I already won?

I would appreicate any and all opinions.
Thanks!

If you're a basic strategy player, ask away. The casino generally bases decisions on your theoretical worth to the casino, so it shouldn't matter.

For only 3 hours, you're not getting airfare anywhere, and not RFB most places. Maybe during the week at a few places. But you sure as hell should ask.

$400 ave bet

If your willing to give four hours of this kind of action I'll bet any casino host would comp you RFB if you let him know in advance.

Win or Lose the comps are there for the taking. The comps are to get you back in their casino. The casinos know they have the advantage in the long run, so they will get their money back if they can entice you back.

i usually just show my players card when i play and have the players desk at my hotel comp my bill (vegas only, the reservation comp system sucks around here)...i.e. bill as much food (to start with) to your room...and so on and so forth.

You should get RFB

As a $400 per hand better you should get RFB it doesn't matter if you happened to win $5,000 that day or you lost $6,000 you are a big time bettor that should be rewarded with comps. Airfare would be tough comp to swindle but you 100% should expect RFB! I bet $25-$40 on the average and I get about $15-$20 an hour in comps!

If you have a hostess, ask her what is available. In October I had one comp room and a second night half price. I asked my wife to ask the hostess, who she knows from previous trips, and we wound up getting two free rooms for our next trip plus a round trip airline ticket good anywhere in the U.S., provided someone accompanies one of us. I don't play high there, $10 and $15 tables, but I have been known to play long. I was money ahead this trip, although money behind from previous trips when I used to play slots.

PS--If you don't have a hostess, inquire about getting one.

At $400 per bet for 3 hours if you dont get special Comps you should let the pit boss know that you are thinling of playing at their competitors place because they give very good Comps.
