Is there a maximum amount of cards a dealer can get in black jack?

Cause the player can only get 5 cards so is this true with the dealer?

The player can draw 21 aces for a 21-card 21.

The maximum for a dealer at a H17 game would be A,A,A,A,A,A,A,5,A,A,A,A,A for a 13-card 17.

The maximum for a dealer at a S17 game would be A,A,A,A,A,A,6,A,A,A,A,A for a 12-card 17.

The most cards I ever drew in one hand was 9!

The most cards that I ever drew in blackjack as a dealer was a 9 card 20. The dealer can take as many cards as he needs to get to 17 or higher. The 5 card rule for the player is a 5 card charlie rule and if you draw 5 cards without busting you automatically win. It is a good rule for the player and most casinos don't have it. I have seen a 6 card charlie rule as well where if you draw 6 cards and don't bust you automatically win. The dealer has no such rule.

Aren't most 5- and 6-card charlie rules only found in Asia where people are so risk-averse that they don't hit anything over 11?
