Ko counting system understanding

i am newbie and i want to ask something about the KO system.

after counting a whole deck, if i start with IRC 0 at the end it will be 4.

i found in google the following:

Conditions IRC Key Count
1 deck 0 +2
2 decks -4 +1
6 decks -20 -4
8 decks -28 -6

can some1 explain me why is this happening?

i think that if i play for example 6d game i should start my count at -24 and the key count [when i will be favourable] will be +1 and higher.

please can som1 give me some explanation at how the count starts for the different games and when i am favourable. thank you

In 6d if the IRC begins at -24 then the KC would be -8. An advantage is gained when the IRC and the KC is separated by 16 positive points. It doesn't matter where you start the IRC as long as you factor in 16 positive points to reach the KC. Start the IRC at whatever number feels comfortable to you.

In the way of information about KO, but it would seem pretty easy to trip up without having the book or at least a detailed summary. It appears you're trying to adjust the IRC to eliminate negative numbers which is discussed in the book.
