KO or Hi/Lo for 6D and potential serious play.

I'm fairly new to counting and have practiced KO quite a bit, but hear that a balanced count is better to use with 6 decks. The game I'll be playing is H17, DAS, DOA, no surrender, Insurance pays 2 to 1, limit: 25-500, and my bankroll is $30k. I want to know that if I am going to be playing at higher stakes, should I hault on the KO and swtich over to Hi/Lo due to the more accuracy because of balanced count against 6 decks....or would KO be just fine? I plan on playing about 3-4 times a week, and also I would like to know my expected rate/per hour? Still gonna be awhile till I hit up the casino with counting but thanks to you guys, you've made it alot easier. Also, anyone know of any casino in Michigan (I'm 19 so I need casinos that would allow me in) that allows mid-shoe entry....preferably at high stakes? If not, any that allow it at lower levels?

I think KO is fine... BUt if you're a smart kid you can probably justify moving up to a level-2 balanced count like ZEN, RPC, or Mentor. zg

With 50 or so indices and solid deployment about 20% stronger than KO. zg

It seems to me that one of the biggest advantages of a balanced count (hi-lo, for instance) in shoe games would be that it's really easy to establish good wong-in and wong-out points based on the true count. With KO (which I use) you're just kind of fudging it.

But the advantage of KO is that it's stupidly easy.

Casino Windsor right across the river from MI has a HL room with No Midshoe entry, but in the regular Blackjack area their are many 300-500+ Max. tables WITH Midshoe entry.

if you are 19 with a 30K bankroll, I'd just keep on doing whatever it was that got you 30K. When I was that age my bankroll wouldve been $30.
