Late Surrender

I've seen 2 types of late surrender:

1) Immediately receive 50% of bet back
2) Receive 50% of bet back if no 10 or A; if 10 or A then wait and see
if dealer has blackjack-Receive 50% of bet if not or lose entire bet if blackjack.

Are both types common?
#1 was in Washington and #2 was in Canada

#1 is called early surrender
#2 is called late surrender

I was unaware that any casino in the US offered #1. That rule is worth about .6% to the BS player.

Sorry, made a mistake.
I got confused cause #1 peaks, then pays surrenders
and #2 plays out the hand, then pays surrenders.

This brings up another question though:

Casino #1 deals itself 2 cards while casino #2 deals itself 1 card then plays
out all hands before giving itself the second card.

Not a big fan of waiting for a second dealer card until the end because it
becomes more obvious when a players decision affects the dealer's hand.

Well I hope ur not making a decision on ur hand based on what u think the dealer's next card might be.

An unseen card is an unseen card whether it's under the dealer's upcard or still in the deck.

For heaven's sake, just play ur own hand correctly with the info available to u.

God I hate it when someone says, after they actually played the hand correctly, that they didn't because they lost taking the dealer's bust card or whatever and if they had played it wrong they would have won.

Like this psycho girl I was beside a couple days ago said about every other hand who was down $2500 she said.

Well, no wonder.
