Probably not, assuming you have a decent paytable for the 3CP. 3CP also goes a bit quicker so you'll get more hands in per hour. Lower variance too.ScottH said:I see that you dont want to bet more than the maximum payout/3000. The max payout is 25,000 and the table max is 25. The most I should bet is 25000/3000, or 8.33. Should I ignore this rule because of the double payout?
Would playing this game heads up be better than playing with 5 others at a 3-card poker promo where the play bet pays double?
I find it hard to believe that play is slower in Let it Ride. With a full table of 3-card poker the dealer is constantly counting out quarters for people, figuring out how much to pay, etc. I found it to be a really slow and boring game. But I've never played Let It Ride, but I assumed it would be faster, or probably about the same speed.Automatic Monkey said:Probably not, assuming you have a decent paytable for the 3CP. 3CP also goes a bit quicker so you'll get more hands in per hour. Last night I went down to the casino to play the promo. I went and looked at the table and saw it was completely full. I decided it wasn't worth waiting for or playing if the pace of play was going to be that slow. My friend went and cashed out his comps and I sat at a slot machine for about 5-10 minutes waiting for him. I decided to walk over to the game and check things out. As I walked up the pit boss got off the phone, and informed everyone that the game was now closed. Everyone was pissed. She got another phone call then turned and told the players that the game would still be open but there wasnt going to be the promo for the rest of the day. The reason was that they had paid out too much for the day. As I was standing a few feet from the table I overheard her talking to one of the patrons. She said, "you know why its because of those two players there, they took too much of the money." So apparently they closed the table so i couldnt play, or else it was just a coincidence. I dont think I will be going back to this place for awhile. Overall I've won over 16k in the last two weeks on this game.ScottH said:There is a Let It Ride promotion where one of the bets pay double. It is the third bet called "$". Does anyone know the edge with this is? What would my BS be? I'll have one day to play in this promo next Saturday so I appreciate any comments.

i was thinking the same thing when reading the post. i love to share stories but you got to be careful. you never know who could be reading these post's. perhaps a dealer, pit critter or just some player that might remmember the circumstances and put two and two together. result could be getting you cover blown ect.Automatic Monkey said:You want to be very careful about discussing ongoing operations in a public forum. Talking about adventures from 6 months ago is fine. (Usually)
The reason is a lot of unskilled and unwise peple read these sites and you never know what some yokel is going to say or do when he walks into the casino. He could walk up to a pit boss and say "Hey is this the game I read about on blackjackinfo.com where you can make a lot of money as long as you open with Q-6 and don't play the Pair Plus?"
After that, anyone fully exploiting the game could be marked as an AP, particularly if they don't have established "gambler" credentials in that store.

You're sort of famous at that casino for being the guy who won all the money on the promo, and I'm famous for being the guy that that didn't tip!Cass said:Last night I went down to the casino to play the promo. There were a lot of people playing in the dark and always playing the pair plus. But after they saw me and supercoolmancool make all that money they started betting the max like we were, and stopped playing the pair plus.Cass said:Yeah openly discussing AP techniques at the table probably wasnt too good of a idea either. The other players at the table caught on to the 3card poker strategy. Oh well at least we made a lot before it got burnt.
