Let me sit a couple out

Will most places let you sit a couple out. Could you sit 3 or 4 out?

I have never tried this but it sure would be great when the count is getting a little shabby.

I read about this in another post and it sounds like a great idea if you can do it.

You simply take an imaginary cell call. zg

If you sit out hals you increase your effective spread x2, sit our 2/3rds, x3, etc. zg

I do this a lot, often i just claim im not "feeling this hand" or i say lemme see how much i lost/won and i count my chips very slowly, and clumsily. If the dealer just got a miracle 21 or a blackjack thats always good cause to sit out at leats the next hand according to ploppy logic. If i am playing in the early am hours, ill just wave my hand at the dealer and stare off into space in a tired drunk stupor as if im too tired to play, iv seen peopel sleeping at bj tables in the early am so this is less suspicious than you may think.

I think though that if you sit oout more than 5 hands for the reason of not feeling it or counting your chips you are pushing it a bit, liek zen said a phone call is also a good idea, but im usually too lazy to put forth that kind of action.

As does sitting out a hand or two simply because someone screwed with The Sacred Flow Of The Cards..You get to miss a few negative hands and show the world you are a ploppy at the same time.

gotta add that one to my (meager) arsenal. maybe with a twist. like if some ploppsy gets on me for messin up the mystic flow well maybe i'll just sit out a few so as they can fix it. lol

If the dealer busts while you are sitting out, remind everyone that this occurred because you sat out and restored the flow. If he wins, remind everyone that that is what happens when someone screws with TSFOTC.

Bathroom or cell is fine but you lose track of the "flow". I like it when you are right on the edge of good and bad.

Man I feel bad, I messed up the flow of the cards last night by splitting my tens. I caused the dealer to draw 8 to the 13 for 21.

First base said he "was expecting that to happen".

IMO, if you are on the edge and you had been playing before, the count sounds like it is coming down. And that isn't necessarily something you want to be missing.

good luck

yeah i like to be there on the edge so to speak as well. but if i'm out hopefully i'm out for the reason that the true is in significant negative territory and isn't likely to rebound to the juicy stuff lol. point being that a falling count isn't as likely to have as much value in negative true territory as it would in positive true territory. at least from the perspective of getting the lucrative double downs as less money will be out and probably less successful doubles. back to these charts for referance... got to love these two graphs lol: http://www.blackjackincolor.com/truecount6.htm
but then i suppose still if the count is falling while in negative territory then at least your still winning about as many normal hands just at lower bet levels. thing about the dropping count phenomenon is you really never know which way the darn thing is going to go, even in postive true territory all the darn high cards might be huddling behind the cut card lol. :(

Your failure to capitalize "The Flow" threatens to expose you as a wanna-be poser. Please try to refrain from this in the future.
