Long session, no heat

Just got done with a 5 hour session with absolutely no heat! I attribute it to my great cover, and the fact that the true count never got above 2

You're probably okay but be careful. I have had "no heat" sessions and then got backed off at a sister property right after and I've known people to play many sessions with "no heat" and then get insta-barred several times later, no warning.

If you played 5 hours and literally never saw a TC exceed +2 then you are likely playing a very poor game. The house is aware of this which is probably why they don't sweat it much.

I was just trying to make a joke about my boring session. The lack of heat was because I was effectively flat betting the table min since the odds never really started to favor me. I was doubling my bet when TC hit 2 but thats as far as it got:)

Sometimes it happens in multideck. Maybe there were no big slugs either way and it stayed that way through the shuffles.

Happened the other night. 4 hours at a 6 decker, cutting at most 1.25 decks off. Not a single TC>+2. Couldn't believe it. Made a decent profit pretty much flat betting 1-2 unit hands.

sober

Yeah I was sober yesterday. I was drinking plenty of diet coke which was a good way to help me get my wong out.

I also made a bit of money. I guess it makes sense since you wong out after the good cards come.

With the software they use, they can review your play after you leave and determine whether you were counting. Then they can affix a note to your card account for future reference, like, "Back this card counter off next time he plays blackjack!" Ah, the wonders of modern science! They still haven't figure a foolproof way to get you if you don't use a card, although some surveillance people brag that no disguise can fool them and that they have memories like a steel trap. Gee, I hope it never gets to where we have to wear false beards and mustaches, or go on a diet. :(

Disagree?

Shad do you disagree with the following statement?

After playing a few rounds(say one deck) where the TC has dropped from 1 to -2, you are more likely to have won than lost.

I would think that since you just got done playing a deck that was effectively +3, you should be winning in that situation more often than not.
