Longhorn Casino on Boulder Hgwy. and match play coupons

Last night I tried to use a matchplay coupon from the ACG at this third-rate casino. The pit boss demanded that I produce the actual book from which the coupon came. I don't carry the book with me, so I left and threw my coupon and player's card into the garbage. The simpleton seemed concerned about the color of the coupon and suspected it was fake. It wasn't fake.

I have played ACG match plays 5 times there in last 4 months with no problem. (whenever I go to walmart, I pop in and play a few hands with my MP...) Some places (very few) ask to see the card that came with the book, but never had anyone ask to see the book. That's just absurd.

The pit must have been confusing the ACG coupon for the Las Vegas Advisor coupon that does require the full book.

That place is owned by a couple of ex Griffin Agents, who recognized me from the old days. How they got hold of enough money to open a casino is beyond ME. And because libel laws extend to the internet, I'll say no more about those two guys, other than the fact that Kenny mentioned them by name in one of his books. :whip:

That's the only place in the world where I've ever been barred and THEN offered a job as a security consultant at the same time! (Contrary to what one of the geniuses around here believes; I DID turn it down, of course).

when i visited one of these joints (cant remember if it was longhorn or big horn) I was asked to show the ACG card that comes with each book but i didnt need to show the actual book itself.

Be glad he turned it down before they converted him to "one of them" and then he could have been snatched up by another casino. We need more pit bosses who can't count.

I have a daughter who worked as a fashion model for several years. She had hundreds of offers of prostitution, and she turned them all down. SAME THING!

What amazes me is that the Longhorn rarely has more than two tables open, but the pitboss always seems like he can't keep track of which dealer is due a lunch break, or some other imagined crisis.
