Major Dealer Mistakes

Has anyone ever had an excessive amount of dealer mistakes during 1 session? I had quite a few large bets out where I bust and the dealer still paid me after she flipped over a 20. Apparently this dealer is/was only 4 days old. She couldn't read soft hands and was taking pushes and paying out losers ALOT. I counted at least 10 times that session. I've encountered maybe a mistake or 2 in my favor every few sessions. I had at least 3 go in my favor with alot of green out there. I felt sorry for her because you could tell she was a good person. I doubt she will last, though because she seemed to get upset for real when people would lose. Normally I would correct these type of errors, however I really liked this dealer and the floor manager/pit boss was watching VERY closely and I didn't want to embarrass her or get her in trouble. She even tried to cash me out an extra $100 before the FM caught it and promptly told her to recount. It was really a wild game. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this type of session before where so many mistakes were made?

Please PM me the casino, her name, and shift please :)

When playing with such a dealer, it's important to be VERY on top of catching errors, because she might be making just as many in the house's favor as your own.

Also, how closely was the floorman really watching, if he was missing so many mistakes?

Re:

Yes I watched very closely. She literally said "You guys will have to help me out." The floor person was actually a nice guy. He was mostly paying attention to the craps action, but obviously when a color came in he came over and made sure she counted it right. I had to speak up for a couple players when she took their pushes. I'v never seen a dealer as emotionally attached when someone lost. You could tell it wasn't an act. She kept complaining how the shoes were different from the shoes she used in training school. Another dealer made a mistake and saved the table some money. First base had a pair of 8's he wanted to split and he dealt one card each like you would for split aces. I had a 10 and pulled an ace from the previous guy being skipped. Everyone else backed out of the hand. SO many mistakes. I guess this particular casino has a high turnover ratio. I can understand certain things, but not being able to count a soft hand is ridiculous. It's not that hard.

From what I hear, all but the top-line casinos have high turnover. Dealers are constantly moving around, trying to get jobs at the best places.

I've also read that when new casinos open, often the market is flooded with untested dealers.

She may overcome some but I would bet not all

She may actually learn how to count hands and stop making more than a rare mistake, but from your description of her feelings when people actually lose, she will never make it.
A professional dealer, even though he/she may be rooting for you (more tokes) or just plain like you, has the ability to detach himself from the emotional pain of your taking a beating at the table. In other words, no matter how they feel and appear, they have the ability to leave what happens in the casino behind when they go home. From your description of this dealer, I would think that she does "take it home with her" and because of that "guilt" she will not last.

One of the dealers I had last weekend indicated quality dealers will be sent to specific hotels, even within the same chain. For example, she indicated that you would see poorer dealers at Bally's as compared to Paris. I don't know what the relative quality of the casino's/hotels are in this instance.

Here's a mistake made by the dealer and confirmed by the floorperson:

I was at a Sp21 table. Player split then got a 5 card 21. On the felt, the bonus chart says pay 3:2 and NOT VALID FOR SPLIT OR DOUBLED HANDS. They both looked at the chart, agreed and paid the player his bonus.
