Hi, I just wanted to wish everyone here on the BlackjackInfo boards a very Merry Christmas! It might be a day or so early, but I'm probably going to be pretty busy on Christmas Day itself - so thought I'd take the opportunity to pass on my wishes whilst I remembered!
I'd say its been a pretty interesting year for many of us. For some of us it's probably been good, and we've been treated to some incredible bargains at department stores, and in Las Vegas holiday deals! For others, life has probably been a struggle, trying to keep up with mortgage / rent payments, power bills, phone bills, whilst maintaining some degree of sanity with the real world...
Whatever type of year you've personally had - don't panic! A new year will soon begin. A new year with opportunities to grow, to flourish, and to become who / what / where you want to be. And before then, we have the joy of Christmas time. Yes, it's that time when western nations (and some others) celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, through the coming together of families, the exchange of presents, and the eating of feasts (for those who can afford them).
I'm a big fan of charities, especially at Christmas time. Have you had a winning year? Consider donating some of those winnings to your favourite charity. Have you got spare food after the Christmas Day meals? Consider the age-old Boxing Day tradition and box up food to take to your nearest homeless shelter. If you've had a bad year, then consider contacting a charity for assistance... don't try to cope alone!
However you spend your Christmas season, may it be a time filled with love, with joy, with peace, and with friends and family. Have a great Christmas everyone!
David
