Mezrich's Books

I first read Bringing Down the House a couple of years ago and thought it was great. I blew through it at a speed that I rarely read at and had finished it in a few days. I then bought Busting Vegas and it has been sitting on my bookshelf for months. I've tried to read it twice but just couldn't get into it.

Anyway. . .

What is everyone's opinion of the Mezrich books? I know that they're pretty much known to be highly fictionalized and not strict works of journalism, though I'm not sure to what extent he took liberties with the real story.

Entertaining. And, guiltily, one of the contributing factors to my learning to count cards.

And I'm anxious to see the movie... a stylized adaptation of a fictionalized book? I think it might have Terminators or Unicorns in it!

Seriously, I love his books.

Bringing Down the House was really good, so then I bought Busting Vegas, which I literally could not put down.

Then I read Ugly Americans which was really cool cause I'm interested in Finance, and now I'm reading and am excited for Rigged!

His first book about MIT was better than the second and the second has more BULLSH*T. zg

I wish I felt that way. That's been my problem with Busting Vegas. I have put it down too many times within the first few pages. I'll try again eventually. Then I'll read it all the way through.

I've heard that both Ugly Americans, and especially Rigged, weren't that great. I personally have not read them yet, but if the reviews on Amazon are any indication, they leave something to be desired.

But then again, I don't always agree with my fellow man. . .

Yeah well i know i really like Busting Vegas and Ugly Americans. But I guess I could see a vast majority thinking they are kind out outlandish
