Buying the e-mail version of CBJN for 12$ is cheap and well worth it. You can spend a lot more money than that driving around northern MI scouting good games. :)

The more people that circulate the publication for free, the less revenue S.W. has to keep the publication accurate.

i'd recommend just buying it. it will be valid typically for several months-1/2 year, and if you're playing with a friend/partner you could split the cost.

i just bought a new issue and the vegas section is not much different than my last copy from NOV. but nevertheless well worth it as i plan to play at 6 or so different places.

pony up the dough! :)

I can tell you that Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt. Pleasant, MI, has all CSM's except for their High Roller area with a $25min bet and I believe 6-deck DOA DAS RSA S17, but am not totally positive as i have never played in the high limit room and will never again go there probably.

Not worth buying in this case

I'll admit that most of my play is in the Midwest so YMMV

For many of the casino's, the information is really out of date esp. for Indian ones in MI and WI.

FWIW in a recent issue of CBJN, much of the data for the northern MI casinos is from 2005.

If you have say 2 casino's you are interested in, then ask here and I'll post some information, but certainly not for all of MI.

I would also normally say that the $12 dollars for CBJN is normally totally worth it, but the data for MI is pretty old.

Do you have info on the Chip-In casino or the Kewadin Vegas casino?

Why not send Wong a little note about the current conditions? Other people might appreciate the update, and he does pay his reporters. Maybe you (or someone else here) could become a regular contributor to the newsletter.

Just drop a PM here at BJINFO to (Dead link: http://www.blackjackinfo.com/bb/member.php?u=1914) _LVBear584_ , that would be sufficient. zg

Jeff,

I just graduated college up in Sault Ste. Marie, and the Kewadin there has a two deck game with double on 10 & 11, no soft double, allows late surrender, can not double after split. They also have a 6 deck game that you can double anytime, and can split aces once up can double for another card. This is the same with the casino in Saint Ignace and Manistique(again spelling). Bay Mills in Brimley also has a two deck game with the same rules as kewadin except that they do not allow surrender.

This is my first post, I have been looking around these forums for a while but never could contribute anything. Maybe I can get that job of getting the blackjack conditions?? I should be posting more now. Hope this helps you out.

Oh, one more thing, the table limits for the two deck at kewadin, is min $5 but have seen them as high as $100 one busy weekend. The six deck has a $3 min most days.

All of the Kewadin casinos changed there age from 21 to 19 a couple of months ago. As far as I know bay mills is still 21. Hope this helps,

Thanks.

Thanks Justin...now I know that when hunting season comes around and I head up to the Upper Penninsula to deer camp, I know of where I can stop to play a decent game.....Plus, pit bosses seing scruffy guys in camo at the BJ tables around deer season is common and I'm sure it will be a GREAT cover! :cool2: What kind of active deer hunters eager to go to deer camp and stop at casinos on the way are at a casino to count cards?! MEEEEE.

Kewadin would be a good example. The data there is from 2005.

MI: Manistique Aug 2005
Kewadin Manistique (I)
Kewadin Manis 1 .48 2 0.7 5 100 s17,d10,ls,hide,nm,sc
Kewadin Manis 3 .25 6 1.7 3 200 s17,ds,dsa,ls,hide

--

I honestly don't get to the WI or MI trips that much.
Does anyone know how Wong verifies the information?
I actually wouldn't mind helping out by walking around and capturing some info. But I'd almost think that my deck estimating may not be up to par and not worth it for him (1.7 vs 1.8 vs 1.9 pen). I don't think I can do better than .25 deck
