I will attempt to pass on some info in this 2nd part that you may find of interest and maybe entertaining.
Isle Vista Casino located in the Bayfield area of Wisc. on Lake Superior. Beautiful area, very touristy, worth the visit if you are in the area, to see the sights, not BJ. This small casino has all but done away with their BJ game, in fact it may be gone for good as told to me by the Casino Manager.
Chip Inn Island Resort and Casino, Escanaba. A few years ago this casino had one of the best shoe games and a fair DD but today the DD is an out and out JOKE
and the shoe is not much better. The VP here is also not exciting. This is a new casino hotel, very beautiful and good room rate packages. They are paying for the new casino by stripping their games of any chance of customer winning. I spoke with a pit boss and he agreed at how bad it was in reference to what the game offered just 1 year ago. It is interesting that the dealers here get to keep their tips on an individual basis. I used to play here about 8 years ago until myself and a teammate were barred, funny story What a game they had then:grin:
Little River Michigan casino. Another new casino hotel, very nice, expensive rooms on weekends and through the summer. They offer a shoe game that can be playable, no heat, relaxed, and interesting. Nice place.
While playing at a fine out of the way casino late one night I was joined by a middle aged man, who seemed very educated, and a younger college student who was betting big and talking as if he were a pro, gambling his way through college, and winning big, he said, I had him pegged for a blow hard and possibly a loser digging himself a big hole, but a nice chap. I asked them both about conditions relating to BJ at a certain casino and was shocked at what they had told me and then they swore up and down what they said was true...I was wishing it was true but decided the nest morning to check things out and guess what, neither knew what they were talking about! A perfect example of pure gamblers that plunk themselves down at a BJ table and do not even know how many decks they are dealing with or what the rules are:whip:
Playing at another very fine casino me and the wife pulled an audatious team play gig and got away with it. We won a very good amount of money and it worked like a charm, until we tried it again the next night, when managment gave us hell, really gave us hell and barred us from playing at the same table or even talking to each other from seperate tables My wife feigned anger and hurt and refused to play BJ if that is how they felt, so I played and won and she played VP and won. My wife has a Masters in Math and is a math teacher and is a whiz at numbers, especially VP, very skilled.
I have omitted those casinos with very playable games and there are several in this area.
I do recommend Watersmeet even though the game is borderline it is stiil worth the effort as the rooms are cheap $37 and a beautiful casino and nice people. I just would not travel a great distance to go there.
