misdeal,or just a mistake?

When playing 1 on 1 with a dealer,if you bust shouldn't the dealer play out his hand,if he doesn't have 17?If he doesn't,would you correct him,let it slide,or wait until the cards went a certain way to say anything?

Since the house has already won the hand from the only player at the table, the dealer will not bother playing his hand. In fact, I have seen a few dealers who don't even flip over their hole card - they just throw it in the discards. Since that's bad for us card counters I always politely point out that their boss would get very angry if they caught that. :)

I never play 1on1 with a dealer. As my counting isn't anywhere near where I want it to be,playing at a 1-1 table costs too much.I was watching a 1-1 game today, and dealer seemed to sometimes play his hand, sometimes didn't.

I love playing heads up I find it to be the least tiring. Never have to bother with eyeing the rest of the table for the other cards.

Is it possible the dealer was playing out his hand at the players request, like they sometimes do in tejas hold-em when the hand doesn't reach the river?
But in poker,those cards don't matter,because there's a new shuffle.

From my experience the most common mistake dealers make is dealing out extra card when player already had bust.

It's kind of useless to play it out when the dealer has already won. Think in baseball terms, it's the same thing the home team does not play the bottom of the ninth when they are ahead!

I would think it would be easier and you'd have a lot more hands to win when the TC was high. Maybe a little tiring having to play a lot more hands altogether though.

Playing heads up is both easier and harder for me.

easy cause you dont have to look all over the place and watch everyones play. Hard because the dealer can play his hand out really fast. I always have a friend with me so i can 'talk' to him if i have to slow it down. Also counts last alot longer on playing byyourself. On a 7 person table you will be lucky to get a few hands at a good count, while it will probably stick around for 10 hands against the dealer.
