Rule 1) You can only get an advantage at online blackjack by using bonuses well, otherwise, it's a losing game.

All playing more hands does, really, is put more money on the table. This would make your fluctuations bigger. Sometimes you win all hands, sometimes lose all, and sometimes you split them.

The rule of thumb is that having two splost playing $75 will have the same variation as one spot playing $100. Usually I only play two spots if there is a very very large wagering requirement that I need to grind through.

Also note that if you were playing single deck blackjack, the later hands on the table might benefit from a "depth-charging" strategy, where you can adjust your play based on the count of cards that were already visible on the table. However, you can't find multiple spot single deck blackjack online (for this very reason). The effect is negligible with more decks.

Does this also apply to regular blackjack at land casinos tooo??? I've seen people play constantly 2 hands, or, some wacko who was allowed to play 4 hands (and that person would wong in and out some of the hands). Other times, if the dealer is constantly winning and not busting, a player may decide to play a 2nd hand "to hopefully change the cards" for a while. Is there any strategy or advantage? How about the situation where there is a high count?

you want to only play one hand or no hands when the advantage is with the house. if the advantage gets high for the players and there are other players at the table is when you want to go to two hands. this gives you an opportunity to hopefully get more of those good cards. it can also allow you to get more money on the table with less varaince because of co-variance.

what i want to know is 3 hands at one time of 1$ is equal with 3 hands of 1$ but only 1 hand per game? House has the same advantage in long run?

I think what Rhino is telling you is there is no change in advantage by playing multiple hands, but 3 hands at the same time for $1 each will have more variation (larger swings from loss/win) that playing one hand at a time for $1. Playing 2 hands for $.75 would have the same variation as one for $1

Why then do some people play multiple hands? Well, in a real casino if they're a counter they play more hands when they have an advantage over the house and less when they don't. Non advantage players who play multiple hands like giving more money to the casino.

Remember too what was said at first: in the long run you will lose money in on-line BJ unless you hustle them for bonuses. If you play for fun and don't mind losing I guess that's OK.
