My Blackjack table at home

I built this from scratch a few years ago, this marvel of modern engineering. I posted a photo of it on my profile also. I have multiple ranges of decks, 2 decks, 6 decks, 8 decks. Sometimes I like the live cards rather than just the computer.

It was easy to build

The only (odd) materials obtained or ordered on the table itself was the chip rack and the felt, which are both easily obtainable from online sources. All other materials were common items you can obtain anywhere. Slapping it together with a little lumber, I also installed shelves for a bar set up from "the dealer's station".

There was no actual plans or layout. I have seen enough blackjack tables in my time to slap together some sort of facsimile of one, I guess. I gauged it as I went and estimated sizes to make the tabletop after seeing the size of the felt I ordered was all.

When is the home game? Any ol' time! I have often thought about a sort of "blackjack workshop" but it's also a hassle as I wish to stay anonymous to the general public and all that sort of thing. I spend as much time training on the computer and at this table as I spend playing in the casinos.

Here is a link to the (expensive) card reader I had in mind:

They also have some nice table layouts there.

nice table

Well done Tarzan, a beautiful example of ingenuity and class! My only comment - three shoes on the table does not a blackjack table make... :) I know, I know, you only play with one at a time...

Seriously, it looks great and you've done a good job. Made up tables like this sell for about a grand or more. Can I ask if you can remember what it cost you to actually build it? (i.e. to get the necessary parts and accessories)? And are you interested in making more - to sell to others?
