My Stat Tracking - Strategy #2

I decided finally to do the math of my second strategy on paper, and I am overjoyed that I did! I am able to confirm mathematically that my strategy does provide an edge over the house, but to my suprise; I realize that I have had it backwards. The way I have been playing it has been wrong. I am restarting my stat tracking - for strategy 2 - with the proper way of playing it. I just wanted to explain this for those who are following the results of my tests.

I will give an example for you. If I ask you how to get 70% of my high percentage hands at a higher bet level and 30% at a lower bet level, you would all suggest that I just bet higher 70% of the time. This would be a correct suggestion. Of course this will not beat the casino's edge. My strategy allows me to have 70% of my high percentage hands at a higher bet level - while betting higher only 64-66% of the time. Cool huh?

If you truly believe, email Michael Shackleford (the Wizard of Odds). I believe he only took his challenge down because he got no serious takers. He'll probably accommodate you.

You got to give this guy credit for persistance. No brains, but plenty of persistance. Can't wait to see the math involved in this.

Same here. So far we’ve heard nothing but false claims, superstitious advice and meaningless results. I’ve received several complaints about these incessant and incoherent ramblings. There is absolutely no reason for these forums to be filled with the same garbage over and over again day after day, especially when a little common sense can see right through it all. Until we start hearing some new information or valid discussion these posts will be busted.

Find me an email address for him and I will send it yesterday.

He says this:

"For about six years, from 1999 to 2005, I offered $20,000 to anyone with a betting system that could show a profit over a one billion hand computer simulation. Here you can find the rules of the challenge. However, in all this time I only had one serious taker and hundreds of people wasting my time, pretending to be interested but never following through. So in January 2005, I took down the offer."

But he also says this:

"I absolutely do not respond to e-mails that suggest a player can beat a negative expection game over the long run with a betting system. Such e-mail is deleted on sight. I have said all I have to say on the topic here and in my FAQ."

So he probably won't take you up on it. At least it'll save you the embarrassment.

Nope, no embarrasment at all. I wouldn't have posted here if I wasn't 100% certain.

I will write him on the weekend probably, with a subject line that will hopefully encourage him to read the email. If not, persistence will win the day.

Sent!

I sent an email to Michael Shackleford (The Wizard of Odds) with my strategy. I will continue to bug him until I get some kind of response.

As another poster said, you are at least full of persistence. I would be very curious to see how your system fares over the course of a billion hands.
