I decided finally to do the math of my second strategy on paper, and I am overjoyed that I did! I am able to confirm mathematically that my strategy does provide an edge over the house, but to my suprise; I realize that I have had it backwards. The way I have been playing it has been wrong. I am restarting my stat tracking - for strategy 2 - with the proper way of playing it. I just wanted to explain this for those who are following the results of my tests.
I will give an example for you. If I ask you how to get 70% of my high percentage hands at a higher bet level and 30% at a lower bet level, you would all suggest that I just bet higher 70% of the time. This would be a correct suggestion. Of course this will not beat the casino's edge. My strategy allows me to have 70% of my high percentage hands at a higher bet level - while betting higher only 64-66% of the time. Cool huh?
