I just got back from Las vegas last night. I stayed downtown at the nugget. I arrived wednesday night at around 12am. I went and played a few games downtown. I spent a few hours at the plaza playing there dd game. They didnt welcome playing green action spreading 1-8 everyone was looking at me as if I was a black man at kkk convention. To make matters worse i was just getting my butt kicked. I ended up leaving down around $1600. Downtown is a good place to play if you want to play red, but i wouldnt recommend if you want to play higher stakes. Thursday morning i decided to play at the nugget (mediocre game-2d H17,Da2,DAS, 60%pen) while my GF got ready for the day. Two hours later, and i was stuck for almost 4k one of my worst sessions ever. I was spreading 50-250 on the DD game. I go back up to my room and realize i only have about 4500 left now. I will be honest i had a hard time counting the face down game because i learned counting by counting each card as it came out. I considered cutting my loses there and not playing the rest of the trip. After my gf was ready we took a taxi out to the strip. I just decided to say f#$% it and keep playing because i came prepared to lose it all and more. I played for a few hours at the mirage and came out ahead a couple grand. Things were starting too look up, and i liked that they dealt face up. We walked over the Bellagio and i back counted 2 deck games wonging in when the count got to +2 and wonging back out when it went negative. In twenty minutes i was up about 3k topping my bets out at300 dollars. Being back to even i felt like i was on top of the world. The next morning I went and played at the nugget again while my GF was getting ready I quit the session after winning 2K. I decided i would not play bj there anymore since there were a lot better games elsewhere. We went out to the strip again. I played at the mirage for a few more hours just going up and down. I went over to the Wynn and backcounted a few of those games. I played three hands total and won 800 dollars. As Zen mentioned the Wynn is the place to be if you can afford it! We went and saw the Jay leno comedy act. Great show. After that it was back to business. We went to the bellagio and I put on a really good drunken act. I had a couple beers and I acted as if i could barely keep my head up. There were a few other young guys at this table and i was celebrating giving high fives and yelling loudly when the dealer would bust. In one hour i turned 2k into 14k. topping my bets out at 500. Some rounds i would place a 2-300 dollar bet off the top talking about how i know that was a good cut! I wouldnt play the first round most shoes and i just sat there and counted and would jump in when things got good. Pissing off most who played with me. During the last few hours things went up and down a lot. I took a cab back to the hotel slept for a half hour and i flew home. Overall I played 20-25hours and i won around 12k. Overall a great trip and i did a lot better than EV. I didnt get backed off once anywhere so either my cover must have been good or they just didnt care since I was betting similar amounts or a lot less than most the players next to me. The games at the mirage and bellagio were a lot better than i thought they would be. 2deck 65-70% pen, S17,DA2,DAS. the only game i saw was better was the wynn with a little better pen. Next time i go I'm going to stay on the strip because i ended up spending a lot on cab fare. Im hoping I can get some good comps because i used a club card at mgm casinos and the nugget.

They had 4 DD games. At the time i went the min bets were 100,200,300,500. But i heard you can get a quarter game from 3-7am. DD,s17,da2,das, Not sure if they had surrender, pene was 70% maybe even 75%. Game was pitch dealt face up. I know this should be kept a"secret" but Zen has talked about it before and i've seen it mentioned on other boards.

Since I last saw you I am up 84 units in about 25 hours of play. I play Shooting Star's DD game about twice a week for sessions of 2-4 hours! So they probably know I'm counting but don't care, which is good for me.
So if you ever want to arrange a team, I think I am good enough now.

What counting system did you use? Also when you wonged-in did you keep you bets flat or did you increase it if the count continued to go up?

I use Fred Renzey's stge III kiss count. It is similar to KO, red7, unbalanced counts. On the $100 game i would wong in with a 2-300 bet when count went to plus2 or more. When count was neutral i was betting 100 and when it got higher i would top my bets at 400 or 500 after I was up substantially. Otherwise i would top my bets at 300-350. So no, i wasnt flat betting.
